Blackburn Creek Steppes Camping

The Blackburn Creek Rest roadside rest area is a convenient, dog-friendly free bush camp with no facilities situated along the Highland Lakes Road near Steppes and approx. 35 km north of Bothwell in Tasmania. It provides a convenient, but very basic overnight stop for fully self-contained motorhomes, campervans and caravans visiting the Central Highlands of Tasmania.

• Facilities & Amenities – There are no toilets or other facilities at this location.
• Campers must be fully self-contained and use their own portable toilets.
• There is non-drinking water only that is available from the nearby creek. Campers must carry their own drinking water.
• Fires are allowed in designated areas but are strictly subject to seasonal fire restrictions
• Mobile Reception: Typically limited to Telstra reception only, but dependent on the exact location.
