Free Hydro Tasmania camping beside Lake King William at Butlers Gorge, below the Clark Dam wall. Facilities are basic – just a boat ramp – but lake water is drinkable and firewood is available. No bookings are taken and dogs are allowed on a lead. Reached via the C603 off the Lyell Highway (A10), following signs toward Clark Dam.
