Lake Crescent Camping
There is no camping available at Lake Crescent, you must camp at nearby Lake Sorell (Dago Point Camping) and drive the 7km to fish at Lake Crescent. Dogs are OK if kept under control, there are day use areas where you can have a barbecue or picnic and simply enjoy the beautiful views on offer at Lake Crescent Tasmania. There are no facilities at Lake Crescent. Lake Crescent is a large shallow storage with an average depth of just 1.5m and maximum depth 2.4m. Lake Crescent is surrounded by grassy woodland and pasture and marshlands extend around the northern and western shores. The water in Lake Crescent is naturally turbid; water enters the lake via a canal from Lake Sorell and flows out into the Clyde River. Lake Crescent has a reputation amongst keen anglers for a having a small population of large trout.
