Lake Lea Vale of Belvior Camping
Camping Lake Lea, Vale of Belvoir is a free camping option close to Cradle Mountain suitable for 4WD camping. This is a free campground, and there are no facilities whatsoever so all campers must be fully self-contained. Dogs are strictly NOT permitted, the area is patrolled by a ranger. It is accessible to RVs, camper trailers, and off-road caravans. Camping in tents is allowed, but it isn’t the most ideal location for tent-based camping. It can get very wet, cold, wild, and windy so please be prepared for any conditions You must be fully self-contained. Fishing and kayaking are popular pastimes at Lake Lea, Vale of Belvoir Conservation Area. You must have a valid National Parks and Wildlife Pass to camp at Lake Lea, Cradle Mountain. NO FIRES are allowed – please carry a fuel stove for cooking. Keep an eye out for various wildlife that frequent this area at dawn and dusk including pademelons, wallabies, and wombats – NEVER feed the animals.
