- 30 minutes from Devonport
- Around 1 hour 20 minutes from Launceston
The campground is accessed via Bakers Beach Road through the main park entrance before following the internal park roads to the campground.
Camping Facilities
Koybaa is designed for campers seeking a simple bush camping experience.
Facilities include:

- Access to untreated water (water should be boiled before drinking, or bring your own drinking water)
There are no powered sites, showers, dump point or caravan facilities at Koybaa. Campers should be fully self-sufficient and come prepared with food, drinking water and camping equipment.
Camping Fees
Camping fees at Koybaa Campground are the standard Narawntapu National Park unpowered camping rates per night:
- 2 people: $13.00
- Additional adult (18+): $5.00
- Additional child (5–17 years): $2.50
- Family (2 adults and up to 3 children): $16.00
A valid Tasmania National Parks Pass is also required to enter Narawntapu National Park.
Bookings
Bookings are not available for individual campers. Koybaa Campground operates on a first come, first served basis and can fill quickly during school holidays, long weekends and Easter. If you arrive after the Visitor Centre has closed, you can use the self-registration facilities located at the Springlawn Visitor Centre. Cash is required for after-hours registration.
Are Pets Allowed – Strictly NO
Dogs and other pets are not permitted anywhere within Narawntapu National Park to protect native wildlife. Approved assistance animals are the only exception.
