Pioneer Park campground is located some 10 kilometres south of the small seaside North West Tasmanian Coastal town of Penguin and approximately 1.5 km south of the small rural town of Riana. The Pioneer Park camping area offers powered and non-powered sites and is suitable for tent based camping and for camping in campervans, motorhomes, camper trailers and other big rigs. The Pioneer Park campground has hot showers (gold coin required) picnic shelters, septic toilets, barbecues, picnic tables and drinking water with all sites level and grassy and some with shade. The nearby Riana General Store offers gas refilling and is located app. 1.5k from the campsites. A caretaker collects fees and visits the area each evening. The Pioneer Park Campground Tasmania is located between Riana and South Riana; if heading from Penguin, head towards Riana past the cricket oval, past the service station and shop where you will find the park well signposted on your left. This is a volunteer operated run facility and generally quiet, relaxing and peaceful. There is a donation box for day users. Pioneer Park is a camping area is located in the Wynyard, Smithton, Gunns Plains and the Leven Canyon area of Tasmania and a great base to explore this beautiful area of Tassie.
