Description
Camping Beginners Bay, Penstock Lagoon near Miena, Shannon Central Highlands Tasmania. There are app. 5 small sites, 2 good for tents or small RV, camper-trailer, rooftop tent, campervan only at the Beginners Bay camping area. There are a few good campsites but you need to back down the tracks as there is limited turning room for larger vehicles. There are no facilities at this campground, it is used mostly by fishermen fishing Penstock Lagoon. Campers need to be fully self-sufficient to camp at Beginners Bay. Pets are OK – please keep them under control as there is lots of wildlife in this area. Take care with tiger snakes during late spring and summer.
